Homeschooling in Wyoming

wyomingWyoming education statutes describe home-based education as “…instruction to a child by the child’s parent or legal guardian by a person designated by the parent or legal guardian.  Instruction to more than one family unit does not constitute a home-based education program.”  Wyoming homeschool instructors or teachers are not required to be licensed or to hold any specific education credentials.  Home school parents must annually submit their planned curriculum to the local school district’s board of trustees.  Failure to provide the board with a curriculum report “is evidence that the home-based education program does not meet the requirements” of a Wyoming-approved homeschool program.
