Homeschooling in New Hampshire


newhampshireNew Hampshire education law defines home schooling as “home education” that consists of “instruction in science, mathematics, language, government, history, health, reading, writing, spelling, the history of the constitutions of New Hampshire and the United States and an exposure to an appreciate of art and music.”  New Hampshire requires that home education be “provided by a parent for their own child” unless another arrangement is agreed on by the Department of Education and the local district superintendent.  New Hampshire homeschooling law does not require or provide a high school diploma credential for resident homeschool students.
