Travel through time with your students as they explore the changing face of America beginning with early exploration, through colonization and the Civil War, and into the current millennium. As part of this online curriculum, students will also learn about the nation's closest continental and island neighbors. As a part of a complete learning management system, Ignitia 5th Grade History and Geography is a self-directed course infused with technology-based lessons, tools, and exercises to enrich learning for students and streamline instruction and administrative tasks for teachers. Like all Ignitia courses, Bible verses (KJV) and biblical references support the development of a Christian worldview and encourage practical Christian living

This history and geography course was designed to be academically rigorous, promote digital literacy, and help students to understand the history and development of the Western Hemisphere, including the United States, from a Christ-centered point of view. The course units includes text-based lessons, on and off computer exercises, special projects, learning games, quizzes, and tests that appeal to today's digital generation and help teachers to evaluate progress and mastery of the materials. Ignitia 5th Grade History and Geography enriches the educational experience for Christian school students and sparks a passion for learning.
