Florida English I B - Semester 2 (Credit: 0.50)The formal study of English entails the creation and analysis of literature written in the
English language. In Florida English 1B, you will study a variety of techniques to
improve your reading comprehension and writing skills. The instruction covers many
types of writing: creative, descriptive, expository, narrative, and persuasive. In Florida
English 1B, you will read and analyze Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet and read
speeches and essays to evaluate arguments. You will write evaluations of literary works
with regard to literary technique, form, and theme.
