Students in Social Studies (grade 8) will explore geography and the history of the United States up to the modern era. Students will be introduced to various study methods, including primary and secondary sources. Topics in this course include: Reconstruction U.S. expansion The effects of the Industrial Revolution Immigration and U.S. isolation The Depression and how the U.S. recovered World Wars The struggle for equality Modern U.S. changes After completing the course, students should be able to answer a variety of economic questions and demonstrate social studies skills.
