Introduce your high school students to this exciting world language with this year-long interactive introductory Spanish course. Students will not only learn the language, but will explore the culture and the lifestyles of the people who live in Spanish-speaking countries around the world. As a part of a complete learning management system, Spanish I is a self-directed elective infused with technology-based lessons, tools, and exercises to enrich learning for students and streamline instruction and administrative tasks for teachers. Like all Ignitia courses, Bible verses (KJV) and biblical references support the development of a Christian worldview and encourage practical Christian living.

Students enrolled in this exciting world language elective course will set out on a journey to learn how to read, write, and communicate effectively in Spanish. With a focus on foundations, students will learn basic sentence structure, grammar, vocabulary, masculine and feminine word forms, and verb conjugates, as well as the culture that underlies the language in countries around the world. The course units include text-based lessons, on and off-computer exercises, special projects, learning games, quizzes, and tests that appeal to today's digital generation and help teachers to evaluate progress and mastery of the materials. Spanish I enriches the educational experience for Christian school students and sparks a passion for learning.
