Picking up where BCIS-IA stops, this course covers the use of technology for business on a broad scale, including lessons on telecommunications, networks, and operating systems. Students will explore the world of computers on a corporate level and learn how they impact the workplace. As a part of a complete learning management system, Business Computer Information Systems IB is a self-directed course infused with technology-based lessons, tools, and exercises to enrich learning for students, and streamline instruction and administrative tasks for teachers. Like all Ignitia courses, Bible verses (KJV) and biblical references support the development of a Christian worldview and encourage practical Christian living.

Real-world skills and practical information are at the center of this computer course geared to prepare students for the business world. Interactive lessons help students to polish up their digital skills while they explore the implications that technology has in the workplace. Topics include email ethics, workplace habits, graphic design considerations, creating a presentation, network hardware and software, and types of operating systems. The course units include text-based lessons, on and off-computer exercises, special projects, learning games, quizzes, and tests that appeal to today's digital generation and help teachers to evaluate progress and mastery of the materials.
